KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has assured that the nation will continue to support Bangladesh’s efforts to resolve the Rohingya crisis by providing humanitarian aid and infrastructure assistance to roughly one million refugees. According to bdnews24.com, the Southeast Asian countries have proposed to build an open-field hospital at Cox’s Bazar for the Rohingya refugees that have fled the inhumane travesty projected by the Myanmar military in northern Rakhine. During his visit to Kutupalong Camp today, Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid said, "This hospital will have 50 beds. The hospital in the refugees’ camp housing the Rohingya ethnic community costs RM3.5 million, Bernama reports. Ahmad Zahid also emphasised that Malaysia and Bangladesh could spearhead the efforts to resolve the Rohingya crisis which has been going on far too long.
