ĐÀ NẴNG — The University of Đà Nẵng in collaboration with Fablab (fabrication laboratory) Đà Nẵng, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Arizona State University (ASU) officially launched a Maker Innovation Space in the central city yesterday. The Đà Nẵng Maker Innovation Space will be equipped with 3-D printers, laser cutters, a wood and metal shop, as well as advanced design software available to all university student members. He said the launching of the space was part of progressive efforts made by the University, USAID, ASU and Fablab Đà Nẵng since 2015. “I know this Maker Space will quickly become a place of collaboration, ideas, and experimentation. USAID BUILD-IT launched its first Maker Innovation Space in HCM City’s Sài Gòn Hi-Tech Park and selected Đà Nẵng for its second facility based on the city’s reputation for innovation and the strength of its partners here.
