If you know Ariane Mnouchkine’s Theatre du Soleil, you know how big she likes to think. The vast area instantly suggests that the wildly creative director is ready to contain worlds within its walls. Although their latest import, at the Park Avenue Armory through December 20, is called A Room in India, the “room” part hardly covers it. So if any spectators decide to assume Cornelia is Mnouchkine’s version of herself, only relocated in India, nobody is going to call out the theater police. They’re played out by a cast the size of a small town and represent the notions firing Cornelia’s unlimited imagination.
