MANILA, Philippines — Makati City Councilor Nemesio Siddons Yabut Jr. was injured after his Mercedes Benz sedan crashed into a parked pick-up truck in Makati City on Friday morning. ADVERTISEMENTPolice said Yabut was hurt in the incident and was rushed to the Makati Medical Center for medical treatment. According to the Makati Police, Yabut was “reeking of liquor” when he was rushed to the hospital. Yabut recently lost Congressional bid for Makati City’s second district to reeelectionist Rep. Luis Campos, husband of Makati Mayor-elect Abby Binay’s husband, in the May midterm polls. Campos garnered 90,736 votes while Yabut got 63,245 votes.
