According to the complainant, most of the gamblers who were not wearing masks and face shields were minors and senior citizens. Pascua said he then ordered barangay councilman Danilo Campos and barangay tanod (watchman) Ariel Pascua Rivera to look into the report. Doriano told Campos and Rivera that Vice Mayor Jimmy Parayno allegedly gave them permission to allow gambling during the wake. Doriano immediately told Pascua the vice mayor had let them gamble at the wake. No gamblers were arrested and were allegedly even told by Albano before the latter left the wake to continue playing.
