Mahdzir: Flood prone schools will not affect UPSR - Nation

PUTRAJAYA: The Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination will go on as scheduled and candidates will sit for their papers even if their schools are in flooded areas. Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said pupils in affected areas would be temporarily moved to the nearest examination centres if they were unable to get to their designated centres. As an example, he added, schools along rivers and in Sarawak are being monitored closely for signs of flooding. In previous years, pupils would continue to take their examinations at the nearest examination centres. The UPSR will be held from Sept 11 to 14, and Sept 18.
