Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray's son and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray will contest the upcoming Maharashtra assembly election from the Worli constituency in Mumbai. He will be the first person from the Thackeray family to ever contest an election. Presently, Shiv Sena Sunil Shinde is MLA from this seat. Uddhav Thackeray had earlier on Saturday assured that BJP and Shiv Sena will contest the forthcoming assembly election in Maharashtra together as both parties have already decided on the alliance. Both the parties are expected to announce the seat-sharing arrangement for the ensuing Maharashtra Assembly polls by Monday (September 30).
