Of the 500-odd Pujas in Guwahati this year, the 3D idol at Athgaon Sarbajanin Durga Puja Samity is proving to be a crowd-puller. At Bhootnath Durga Puja, kids' favourite Chhota Bheem and his team are welcoming pandal-hoppers. Its 130-year-old Harisabha Durga Puja Committee, also known as Sanatan Hindu Dharma Sabha, has lined up a number of religious, cultural and social programmes, including a dhak competition on Dashami. The Baluchar Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee is spreading the message of unity among religions. Governor Banwarilal Purohit and chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal greeted people on the occasion of Durga Puja celebrations.
