Magerer withdraws assault case against five ODM reps

Former ODM Executive Director Magerer Lang'at has forgiven 5 Nairobi MCAs and a security officer who assaulted him in 2014 at the party headquarters. Magerer told the court that the accused had paid him Sh 300,000 as compensation for medical expenses he incurred after they jointly assaulted him. He further told the court that he knows MCAs and the security officer very well because he used to work for them at the ODM offices prior to the assault incident. The 5 ODM MCAs and security officer were among those who forcefully evicted Magerer from a CORD parliamentary meeting that had been attended by their party leader Raila Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka. Magerer was at the time accused by the Nairobi MCAs of being a traitor and a jubilee mole.
