15 minutes agoMaendeleo Chap Chap leader Alfred Mutua has called on residents of central eastern counties to back his party to enable it ascend to national leadership. Mr Mutua drummed support for his party candidates in Meru saying Chap Chap would ensure Kenyans get value for their taxes. Speaking during a rally at Laare town in Igembe North, Dr Mutua said Chap Chap had grown to become the third largest party due to its people driven agenda. Chap Chap was born in Eastern Kenya and I urge my neighbours in Meru, Embu and Tharaka-Nithi to back it,” Dr Mutua said. He was accompanied by Meru gubernatorial aspirant Kilemi Mwiria, his running mate Shadrack Kirori, Tharaka-Nithi Senatorial aspirant Kiambi Kiriiro among other candidates.
