The IEBC has rejected presidential aspirant Justus Juma's nomination papers for reasons including the submission of few signatures. Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati said Juma's proposers were not members of his Justice and Freedom Party. Chebukati gave Juma until the end of the day to put his papers in order. This comes a day after the commission turned away independent presidential aspirant Joseph Nyagah. Nyagah was turned away after presenting a banker’s cheque in excess of the required Sh200,000 nomination fee.
