The accused Ganesh and his associate Impana had conducted campus interview at two prestigious colleges in Madikeri. They had issued offer letters of reputed IT companies to 45 women after receiving ₹10,000 each from them. After issuing the offer letters, the accused had brought the 45 young women to a paying guest accommodation in Marathahalli. The family members, along with Madikeri police, rushed to Bengaluru and apprehended Ganesh at a hotel where he was staying.
