Chorus announced a plan on Monday that will see UFB work start in Twizel in 2019, followed by Fairlie and Lake Tekapo in 2021. "Internet in the Mackenzie is already getting overloaded so we need an extra cable. All up, Chorus is building the fibre network to more than 1.3 million homes, businesses, schools and medical centres across New Zealand. "Now thanks to the extension to the UFB programme, more households in South Canterbury will be able to take advantage of fibre broadband."
