BACOLOD CITY — It will be a sad Christmas for a family from Bais City. A 34-year-old mother managed to save her 2-year-old daughter from drowning in Silay City, Negros Occidental but lost her life saving another. Caloring, who hails from Bais City, Negros Oriental, her two daughters, and husband arrived in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Monday to visit her family for Christmas. She was washing clothes at the Malisbog River in Barangay E Lopez in Silay City on Tuesday when the incident happened. Both were declared dead on arrival at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.
