Share TweetBy Francis WakefieldThe Department of National Defense (DND) of the Republic of the Philippines and the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) of the Republic of Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on defense industry cooperation at the Philippine Air Force headquarters, in Villamor Air Base in Pasay City. DND spokesman Director Arsenio Andolong said the MOU was signed on December 18, 2018, by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Professor Dr. Ismail Demir, president of the Defence Industries of Turkey, on behalf of the Philippine and Turkish governments, respectively. Andolong said the MOU will focus on government-to-government acquisition, as well as the development, production, co-production, and transfer of defense technology between DND and the SSB.
