Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William "Butch" Ramirez was conferred with the title Doctor of Humanities Honoris Causa by the Mindanao State University (MSU) on Thursday at the MSU Convention Center, Lanao del Sur. MSU president Habib Macaayong bestowed the degree to Ramirez for his contribution to the Mindanao Sports for Peace movement. Also, in the ceremony were MSU's executive vice president Rasid Paca, vice president for academic affairs Dr. Alma Berowa and vice chancellor for academic affairs Alizedney Ditucalan. MSU president Habib Macaayong led the awarding of the academic recognition to Ramirez. Also present in the ceremony that was held as part of the school's 60th founding anniversary were MSU's executive vice president Rasid Paca, vice president for academic affairs Dr. Alma Berowa and vice chancellor for academic affairs Alizedney Ditucalan.
