Vico seeks second term as Pasig mayorMANILA, Philippines — Noting that the COVID-19 pandemic hindered him from achieving his goals for Pasig, Vico Sotto is seeking a second term as mayor of the city. “Many projects were delayed due to the pandemic. I was only mayor for nine months under a normal situation. Next term, we should work together to take back the time stolen by COVID-19,” Sotto said. He said in Filipino he wanted “allies I can trust, who are not after position or money, but will be my partners in improving reforms and services of the government.”Sotto apologized to his supporters because he did not allow them to accompany him when he filed his COC in order to follow the health protocols set by the Commission on Elections.
