After two months, the Metro Rail Transit line-3 (MRT-3) again managed to deploy 12 trains on Sunday as it continued repairs to improve train service. The last time the MRT-3 had 12 trains in operation was on Jan. 22, media relations officer Aly Narvaez told INQUIRER.netADVERTISEMENTNarvaez said the increase in number of operating trains was because needed spare parts had arrived. “We largely attribute this improvement to the ongoing delivery of the spare parts we procured last year,” she said. Narvaez said they hope to deploy 15 trains after the Holy Week break, when it is set to suspend operations from Holy Wednesday to Easter Sunday. “We target to restore the train availability to 15 sets during peak hours after Holy Week maintenance,” she said.
