A southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) offloaded its passengers on Monday afternoon’s rush hour due to a system failure. In an advisory, MRT-3 media relations officer Aly Narvaez said passengers were offloaded at the Quezon Avenue station at 5:13 p.m. due to ATP (Signaling) Error. The service disruption was caused by “worn out ATP sub-components” particularly the ATP sensor, Narvaez said.
