KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd’s revenue jumped 75.5 per cent to RM2.4 billion in the nine months ended September 30 2017. This was fuelled by a 236.7 per cent revenue growth to RM1.61 billion of its engineering, construction and environment division, MRCB said in a statement yesterday. Its pre-tax profit for the period, excluding gains of RM44.4 million arising from the disposal of non-core assets, rose 5.6 per cent to RM115.8 million. The division’s operating profit rose 365.7 per cent to RM46.5 million during the nine months, helped by an improvement in operating margins which increased year-on-year from 2.1 per cent to 2.9 per cent. After RM468 million worth of recent contract wins, MRCB’s external client construction order book currently totals RM6.3 billion.
