Budi95 temporary adjustment an initial step to protect people, keep nation stable — Adam Adli

KUALA LUMPUR (March 27): The temporary adjustment of the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) programme should be viewed within a broader framework as an initial step by the government to maintain national stability, ensure supply, and protect the people from more severe impacts should the conflict in West Asia continue. PKR communications director Adam Adli Abd Halim said the temporary adjustment of the quota from 300 litres to 200 litres is based on actual usage data, which shows that the majority of people use less than 200 litres per month. According to him, the escalating conflict in West Asia is placing direct pressure on the supply of oil, gas, and food, as well as global living costs. However, to ease the burden on the people, the prime minister said the Budi95 initiative will remain at RM1.99 per litre. Meanwhile, Adam Adli stressed that Malaysia will continue to play a fair, firm, and principled role in issues concerning West Asia, with the prime minister holding discussions with regional leaders to seek peaceful solutions while protecting national interests.
