KARACHI: An alleged target killer of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Saeed Bharam, has confessed to carrying out target killings on directives of senior MQM leaders, including Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar, a local court was apprised on Friday. “MQM leader Muhammed Anwer once called me and ordered to constitute a team of target killers for wiping out opponents. The court asked the prosecutor of Sindh Rangers that how many cases were registered against the MQM target killer. “There is solid evidence against Saeed Bharam, so the punishment should be maintained,” he pleaded to the court. The prosecutor apprised that the target killer was also involved in the murder of an MQM-Haqiqi activist Syed Ibrar Hussain and a case was registered against him at Nabi Bukhsh police station in October 2009.
