Webuye East MP Martin Pepela has rubbished claims by the Opposition that there's a plot to assassinate Azimio leaders Raila Odinga and Martha Karua over their street protests. The first term Ford Kenya lawmaker termed the allegations made by Raila ahead of their protests last week as unfounded. "President Ruto has no need to assassinate Raila Odinga,” he said. The MP said that Ruto would not waste his time assassinating the opposition bosses since he is focused on transforming the country’s economy. Last Sunday, Raila listed Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Trade CS Moses Kuria as those plotting to assassinate him and other Opposition leaders.
