Nominated MP Oburu Oginga has said his cousin Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo was a beneficiary of the rigged ODM nominations in 2013 that allowed him to serve for a third term in Parliament. Oburu on Tuesday said together with some ODM party stalwarts they connived to rig the nominations in favour of Midiwo. Oburu added that the Gem MP is engaging in cheap and unnecessary politics to support independents and other candidates viewed as a threat to ODM. “Midiwo should forget about recapturing his seat since he has fallen out with ODM,” added Oburu at Nyangweso village, in Midiwo’s Gem constituency. He was with MPs Aduma Owuor (Nyakach), Christine Ombaka (Siaya woman representative), former Gem MP Joe Donde and Odhiambo.
