MNLF fighters kill 4 ASG in Sulu clashMoro National Liberation Front (MNLF) fighters shot and killed four Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) bandits and recovered four automatic rifles during a clash in Kalinggalang Caluang town, Sulu, on Tuesday. The clash between the ASG and the MNLF fighters headed by Commanders Taib Sahibad, Alih Kipli and Abraham Joel ensued as the MNLF tried to rescue hostages being held by the group. The bodies recovered by the MNLF were brought to Barangay Masjid Punjungan, Kalinggalang Caluang and will be turned over to the local go­vernment unit for disposition. One of the four ASG members slain was identified as Jennorr Lahab alias “Kumander Jim Dragon” and another terrorist believed to be his son. The encounter took place at 7 a.m. in Barangay Tanjung, said Western Mindanao Command spokesman Maj. Filemon Tan.
