Mustafahmore-inWith 73.08 lakh man-days created till March 28, Thiruvananthapuram District has emerged first in creation of individual man-days under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in the State. As many as 1,73,335 people in 1,58,615 families were provided jobs, District Collector K. Vasuki said. Alappuzha, which provided jobs to 1,42,289 people from 1,30,237 families and created 71.51 lakh mandays, was second in the State, Mr. Chandrasekharan Nair said.
