JOHOR BARU: The state government will seek stakes or shares in major projects that are going on in Johor, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled (pic). Speaking to reporters at the Johor Gerakan Chinese New open house here, Mohamed Khaled said Johor had no shares when two of the ports here were privatised. “You all know that was done du­­ring whose time,” he said, referring to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Mohamed Khaled said the state government had stakes now in projects, including in Desaru Coast and Syarikat Air Johor. “In contrast, Iskandar Malaysia in Johor will contribute heavily towards the country’s growth and development,” Mohamed Khaled said.
