M&M eyes growth through digitisation, innovation


more-inAs global automotive companies are crowding the Indian marketplace and intensifying competition, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has embarked on a three-pronged strategy to maintain its growth momentum by capitalising on its strengths and broadbasing its product and services offerings. These include a focus on globalisation, innovation and the customer, top M&M officials said at the company’s first-ever “media-dialogue”. The company’s tractors and implements business now comprises tractors, farm machinery and agri-business. While 30% of its automobiles are sold outside India, 20% of tractors are sold outside the country. The sales volume outside India has increased 29 times from 7000 units in 2003 to 226000 units in 2016.
