TWO low pressure areas (LPAs) were seen inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state-run weather bureau said on Friday. According to Pagasa, both LPAs were embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) as of 7 a.m.One LPA was 335 kilometers (km) west-southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan while the other was at 900 km east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Palawan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasional heavy rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA. The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers because of localized thunderstorms.
