"The major floods hit once in 2013 but since then the flash floods has been giving the residents a headache. "The drain has to be maintained regularly... during the hot weather, the drain water will be stagnant and expose residents to dengue threats. During the rainy season, we have to face the flash floods," she said. The contractor should be only allowed to continue construction works once they have repaired the drain," he said.
