Damien Miru, 32, of Stoke, died following a crash on the Coastal Highway (State Highway 60), near Nelson on Friday morning. A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the crash near Ridgeview Rd about 7.40am. A family statement said Miru was a "loved father, son and brother", who would be "sadly missed" by his family and friends.
