Hamilton police close road to investigate serious assaultRUBY NYIKA/STUFF Residents have been asked to stay inside while police investigate a serious assault in Ranui Street, Hamilton. An assault in a Hamilton street late on Friday left a person in critical condition. Police and ambulance staffers were called to Ranui Street, Dinsdale, about 11.40pm and police were still investigating on Saturday morning. A section of Ranui Street was closed to traffic while the CIB investigated, a police spokeswoman said.
