Loss as beach hotel reduced to ashes in Kwale county, 50 tourists evacuated

A ravaging fire reduced Neptune hotel at Kwale's Diani beach to ashes on Tuesday evening. It is believed the fire started from Neptune Village and spread to Neptune Paradise hotel before it caught the cottages. The visitors were later booked at the neighbouring Baobab beach hotel. About 50 guests who were staying at the hotel when the fire broke out were safely evacuated; no one was injured. The fire, whose cause remains unknown, consumed the hotel before it spread to at least five cottages.
