He tasked his Labour and Home Affairs ministers with the development during President Uhuru Kenyatta's three-day state visit. Botswana President Ian Khama wants the country's restrictive migrant laws reviewed to make it easier for Kenyans to get work permits. He also promised that the government will ensure voting rights for all Kenyans living in the diaspora become a reality. At a meeting with Kenyans living in Botswana on Tuesday night, Uhuru assured that the issue of work permits will soon be addressed. Uhuru asked Kenyans living in other countries to play positive roles to promote peace, harmony and unity, not to sow ethnic hatred.
