New stamps celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings trilogy’s first film, The Fellowship of the Ring. They were designed were painted by artist Sacha LeesOne of the original artists charged with bringing Middle Earth to life has created a set of postage stamps to commemorate the first Lord of the Rings film, The Fellowship of the Ring, twenty years on from its release. The stamps were commissioned by NZ Post. “NZ Post was very proud to support the original film project by producing a set of stamps at the time. These sold across the globe like nothing we had ever seen before.”Lees also had a hand in designed the original stamps.
