Ashhurst’s water supply was temporarily cut off after an accident by a contractor. “The water main was accidentally struck by a private contractor late this afternoon,” a Facebook post wrote. “Our water team looked at all options to not cut off water during the repair, but unfortunately this isn't possible. If water was discoloured, the council recommended people turned on an outside cold tap until it ran clear.
