The Loons, who had won seven in a row in all competitions, moved within one point of the third-place Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference. Real Salt Lake came back to tie it 13 minutes later on Silva’s second goal of the season. For RSL, Damir Kreilach’s header from the middle of the box, off a Savarino cross, dribbled wide past the left post.
