Organisers of the 2017 Bay of Plenty Young Fruit Grower competition are looking for the region's future horticultural leaders. The competition will be held in conjunction with the Te Puke A & P Show on Saturday February 11 at the Te Puke Showgrounds. "The Bay of Plenty is full of emerging horticultural talent and this competition highlights up-and-coming leaders," says event organiser Renee Fritchley. The winner of the Bay of Plenty Young Fruit Grower competition goes on to represent the region at the national competition. - Te Puke Times
