Long-serving Dunedin police officer dies


Wayne OlsenWayne Olsen QSM, a former Dunedin police sergeant, died unexpectedly at the Dunedin Hospital intensive care unit on Sunday. A long-serving police officer and dog handler, he was based for some time at the South Dunedin police station, and was heavily involved in community activities. After retiring from the police, he held a senior role in the Dunedin courthouse security team for some time. Mr Olsen was awarded his QSM for community service in 1998,
