AdvertisementThe official Team GB fanzone that opened at Westfield London ahead of Tokyo's crowd-less Covid Olympics has been left eerily empty. The outdoor space, hosted by Ocean Outdoor, was formally opened today at noon to coincide with the opening ceremony in Japan which was carried out in front of just 950 guests. SEGA is also offering the chance to play the official Tokyo 2020 video game with head-to-head competitions being played out on digital screens. Organisers will be hoping the ceremony will start the process of unifying the country behind the £13billion sporting spectacular. The Tokyo Olympics began with a bang as fireworks exploded over an otherwise eerily quiet arena after crowds were banned with less than 1,000 dignitaries, delegates, and VIPs in attendance
