MELAKA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to make several important announ­cements during the Prime Minis­ter’s Department’s monthly assem­­bly today. Transport Minister Anthony Loke (pic) said that Anwar will make key announcements on criti­cal issues involving the eco­nomy, education and institutional reforms during his 2026 New Year Message to the assembly. “On Monday, the Prime Minister will call a special Cabinet meeting where several urgent issues will be discussed. Loke added that the anticipated announcements demonstrate the seriousness of the Prime Minister and the leadership of the Madani government in addressing current issues and problems faced by the people, particularly in naviga­ting a challenging economic climate. “However, these matters will be addressed, especially regar­ding tax refunds,” he said, adding that he is confident the positive announcements will tackle such critical issues.
