Loke: E-hailing drivers can opt for e-PSV licence course - Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: E-hailing drivers can opt to sit for the e-PSV (Public Service Vehicle) licence course instead of spending up to six hours doing it at driving institutes before sitting for the one-hour test, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke. "E-hailing operators can conduct e-PSV courses as long as they follow the ministry's module," he said, adding that operators had the option to offer the course for free. He said this in response to complaints from the Grab Drivers Malaysia Association that driving schools could not accommodate the high number of drivers who wanted to sit for the course. In November last year, Loke said all e-hailing drivers must register for PSV licence similar to taxi drivers from January this year. Loke said drivers were given until July 12 this year to complete their PSV licence and course.
