While a move to alert level 3 meant a return to work, it was not business as usual, he said. MacClure said his company had about 32 South Canterbury based employees and about 150 contract staff around New Zealand. "In South Canterbury all our guys are still employed. South Canterbury had been "fortunate in some ways as we have kept operating because we have essential products", he said.
