Under the banner of Sahdhinata Charcha Kendro, Rajshahibashi and Tarunner Shakti , social workers submitted a memorandum on Monday afternoon to press home their seven-point demand regarding the land grabbing process of the Padma riverine island by the government. The memorandum was submitted to the Additional District Magistrate Ruhul Amin in the city. The memorandum states that recently the Bangladesh department of prison is going to build a training facility on the 100 acres of land, which rose at the Padma river in Srirampur area. The prison department already sent a proposal to the land ministry for the 100 acres of the riverine island.
