Piero Hincapie was in action for Ecuador in the Copa America this summer (Picture: Getty Images)Versatile defender Piero Hincapie has been tipped for a move away from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, with both Liverpool and Tottenham having shown great interest in the Ecuadorian. The 22-year-old has been at Leverkusen since 2021 when he signed from Argentinian side Talleres. The Ecuador international made 43 appearances last season as Leverkusen sensationally won the domestic double and reached the final of the Europa League. Tottenham made a bid for Hincapie last year while Liverpool held talks over signing the defender in 2023 as well. Hincapie was in pre-season action for Leverkusen om Wednesday as the German side was hammered 4-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates.
