A list containing names of 64 suspected witches caused a stir at Masaba North, Kisii county after it was published on Thursday. Police dispersed locals who threatened to lynch a woman named among suspected witches troubling residents of Rigoma village. Wambugu said two suspected authors of the list were arrested and statements taken from them. It was reported that the locals had just come across the list - whose source and motive of publication remains unknown. He said the two will help police in tracing more suspects linked to the authorship of the said list.
