A Congolese music producer was freed on Thursday in a case in which he allegedly defrauded Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's wife of Sh1.5 million. But the defence opposed the application for adjournment saying Ponce had been at the Industrial Area remand prison for seven months. Principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi released Saint Patrick Ponce, who is based in Canada, after Anne Wetang'ula refused to appear in court. The prosecutor had asked the court to summon Anne to testify saying her account was key to the case.
