Liow: King Salman's visit will boost investments - Nation


RAUB: The visit by Saudi Arabia's King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud (pic) is expected to bring investments and job opportunities to Malaysia, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai. Liow, who is MCA president, said King Salman's visit is a recognition of Malaysia an an ideal place for investments. “The visit will strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations, boost trade and development as well as people-to-people ties,” he said at the Jom! King Salman has chosen Malaysia for his first visit to an Islamic country in the region as well as the first to Southeast Asia since ascending the throne in 2015. During the four-day visit from Sunday, several new agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed, including between Saudi Aramco and Petronas, the countries’ largest state-owned companies.
