Sarina Wiegman's England Women's football team will have a new London Overground line dedicated to them in honour of the team's unprecedented and unflagging success on and off the pitchThe Lionesses have been honoured by Transport for London (TfL) as part of the rebranding of the London Overground. The Lionesses' unprecedented success has subsequently led to an exponential rise in women’s football development across the country, including initiatives to make the game more accessible to young girls while increasing the appetite and visibility of the professional game. It is not the first time Lionesses have been honoured with forms of transport. This includes an updated Tube map, a 'refreshed' London Overground network map and a number of on-network assets, including wayfinding signage at all 113 stations. TfL said 'careful validation and testing' were undertaken to ensure the line colour selection was as inclusive as possible.
