Mount is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge which has also seen him capped at international level for England. Now to top off a remarkable year for the 21-year-old, Mount has now drawn the plaudits of six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi. The midfielder was criticised recently however after he was seen playing football at a north London training centre when the rest of the Chelsea squad were in self-isolation from the coronavirus. Chelsea stated they had reminded Mount of his responsibilities after the incident involving England teammate Declan Rice, of West Ham. Mount apologised to manager Lampard for breaking the imposed curfew, but it is not known whether he was fined by the club.
